When we are born, we don’t know what God has in store for us. We are given good times and bad times, happy times and sad times. I consider this election a great time in my live and feel very blessed.
I was 15 when I went to work in the County Clerk’s Office, never dreaming that I would eventually become County Clerk and certainly never President of this Association. I am still having a hard time believing this is actually happening. And I’m so honored to be in this position.
I want to thank all of you for your encouragement, for reaching out and welcoming me as new clerk. If it hadn’t been for you and for this position and past positions, I would never have made the many friends that I have. I would never have gotten involved.
As I take the reigns as President, I want to remind you that I’m still learning. There is something new to learn everyday, as you well know. But I will work hard for this association and do my best as President. We have a great Executive Board and Board of Directors who I know will be with me every step of the way.
Again, thank you all for your support, encouragement, and friendship.
Thank you to the ladies and gentlemen of Kerrville and Region IV for all their hard work making the 113th Annual County and District Clerk’s Association Conference a great success.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of any assistance.
